After a previous bad experience with my last dentist I was looking for an established practice where I would feel relaxed and confident that I was in good hands and also somewhere that would provide a welcoming, pleasant environment for my two young children. The Orchard Dental Practice was recommended to me by a work colleague and since joining the practice around two years ago I can say they have been excellent. There is a calm atmosphere and the staff are efficient and professional, they all know your name which gives that personal touch but above all they are kind and empathetic. My children had their first check up here and the whole team put them at ease, they actually enjoy going now and look forward to receiving a sticker and toothpaste at the end.
The practice are always accommodating, often at very short notice. When I had an extremely painful infection in my wisdom tooth they arranged a number of emergency appointments and referred me to an oral surgeon within a matter of days in order to resolve the problem. They kept in touch throughout which was reassuring during this dreadful time.
Initially I was quite a nervous patient but now I feel a lot more confident when visiting the dentist, so much so I have recently had some cosmetic work completed. For many years I was extremely self-conscious of my front teeth due to an ill-fitting/ mismatched crown and veneer, but I was too scared and apprehensive to do anything about it. I had two porcelains crowns fitted following the advice I was given by the dentist. I was truly shocked and surprised by the results, they now look fantastic and my only regret was not getting them replaced sooner.
